Travel grant program
IGVI offers travel grants for humanities scholars from the Global South who are engaged in value inquiry, preferably with a philosophical focus. The grants are for participation in conferences, workshops or for research purposes. The application deadlines are the 1st of January, the 1st of May and the 1st of September each year.
Humanities scholars with a thematic focus on value inquiry who are either institutionally based in the Global South or who are from the Global South without institutional affiliation, can apply for travel expenses reimbursement by writing a short explanation of the research purpose of their travel and the estimated costs.
Applications (with an outline of the project and a short CV) should be sent to info@igvi.org before or on each of the three deadlines, and will be processed within 2 weeks, that is, by January 15, May 15 and September 15 each year. Approval of the travel grant will depend on the relevance of the trip for the outlined research project and on the availability of funds within the respective tertial of the year.
